Employment Opportunities and Role Descriptions

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Role Description: An RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a paraprofessional in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) who works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The primary role of an RBT is to implement behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA to help individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges acquire new skills and reduce problem behaviors. They provide direct, one-on-one interventions, collect data, and maintain documentation to assist in the ongoing assessment and progress monitoring of clients.

Requirements: Free online 40 hour course to be completed upon hiring. Experience working with special needs children is preferred but not required.

Pay Rate: $12/hour until course is completed. Pay increased to $15/hour upon course completion. Pay increased to $18/hr once course certification is passed. Regular pay raises based on employee performance. 

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Role Description: A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) is a professional in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) who has met specific educational and experiential requirements and has obtained certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The role of a BCBA involves conducting assessments, designing behavior intervention plans, and providing supervision and guidance to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other professionals implementing ABA-based interventions. They collaborate with clients, families, and other team members to develop and oversee individualized treatment programs aimed at improving behavior, social skills, communication, and other adaptive behaviors for individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges. Additionally, BCBA’s regularly analyze data to measure progress and make data-driven adjustments to treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for their clients.

Requirements: Master’s Degree and BCBA Certification

Pay Rate: $55/hour with regular pay raises based on employee performance 

BCBA Student Candidate (Student Supervisee)

Role Description: A BCBA Student Candidate (we refer to this role as “Student Supervisee”) is a staff member in an active pursuit of obtaining a graduate degree and BCBA certification. A Student Supervisee can be eligible to receive clinical supervision for free while employed with The Conner Group. This role shares many of the same responsibilities as a BCBA (in a more limited capacity) but all work is performed under direct supervision of an on-site BCBA staff member.

Requirements: Provide proof of active enrollment in a graduate program and pursuing a BCBA Certification. This role is required to complete the same 40 hour course as our RBTs.

Pay Rate: Rate is determined by experience, progress in graduate program, and accrual of supervision hours.

Clinical Receptionist

Role Description: The role of a Clinical Receptionist is, but not limited to, act as the first point of contact for clients, families, and visitors at the clinic. They are responsible for greeting and assisting clients as they arrive and depart, scheduling appointments, managing clinic phone operations, assist other clinical staff with managing the cleanliness of the clinic environment, occasionally filling in when absences arise in our on-site nursery, and handling administrative tasks as assigned. Additionally, the receptionist may provide general information about the clinic’s services and assist in coordinating communication between clients, clinicians, and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.

Requirements: High School Diploma required. Past experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Must be comfortable working around children with special needs.

Pay Rate: $13/hour with the opportunity for pay increases based on performance and if role responsibilities are expanded in a significant way

Nursery Caretaker

Role Description: The role of nursery staff is to provide care and supervision to our staff’s children (under the age of 2) in our on-site nurseries located at each of our clinics. They are responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the children under their care. Nursery staff typically plan and implement age-appropriate activities, facilitate play and learning experiences, assist with feeding and personal care needs, and ensure the well-being and development of each child. They will maintain open communication with parents or guardians, keeping them informed about their child’s well being.

Requirements: High School Diploma required. Past experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Must be comfortable working with children 2 years of age and below. The nursery will be located inside one of our clinics so indirect contact with special needs children during day-to-day operations can be expected.

Pay Rate: $11.50/hour

    • This is an optional staff perk and not a guaranteed amenity for all hired staff. Space is limited to 5 children enrolled at one time per clinic location.
    • The Conner Group reserves the right to pause or terminate childcare for any individuals (without notice) if health or safety concerns of other attendees are present in our nursery environments.
